Simplicity 2850;  ©1949; The kimono-sleeved bodice is gathered at the upper front seam and features a V-neckline.  A shaped yoke molds the waistline and a self or purchased belt may be used.  The skirt is cut in four sections and falls in an easy flare.  In Style 1, a shaped collar outlines the neckline and narrow cuffs trim the sleeves.  Tie ends in front form a large bow over the bodice gathers.  Soft pleats and gathers at the upper edge give the skirt added fullness in front.  In Style 2, gathers are repeated at the lower edge of the sleeve.
