S2944 1

Simplicity 2944; ca. late 1930s;  Misses' Dress.  A tailored version of the perennially popular shirtmaker.  Bodice, which buttons down front, has top-stitched insets that form pockets and give the illusion of pleats.  The pleated skirt joins bodice at waistline.  Style 1 has a small collar, long, set-in sleeves and buckled belt.  Style 2 has a tie collar and belt; short sleeves.
