Simplicity 2959 (1950s), front

Simplicity 2959; ca. 1959; Jr. Misses' and Misses' One-Piece Dress with Two Skirts: Dress has a rounded neckline detailed with soft pleats at front neck edge, kimono sleeves and slightly raised waistline. V. 1 features a full softly pleated skirt and ribbon belt with bow. V. 2 features slim skirt. Belt is purchased.

Simplicity 2959 (1950s), back

Suggested fabric types: both views (V. 1 eyelet, lace, embroidered or plain): Cottons and blends; sateen, chambray, velveteen. Linen. Rayons, silks and synthetics; shantung, moire, crepe, satin, peau de soie. V. 2. also in wools, crepe, jersey, hopsacking.
