Simplicity 2973; ©1949; Teen-Age One-Piece Dress with Detachable Dickey: The softly flared skirt has a deep inverted pleat in the center front and large, shaped patch pockets on either side. Darts fit the slim bodice. In Style I an attached dickey is fastened with a three-button closing and topped with a small collar. The patch pockets button over the belt in front and top-stitching is used as trimming. Long sleeves are gathered to wrist bands. Style 2 has a contrasting detachable dickey secured with three bows and finished with a small collar. Short sleeves turn back to form cuffs. The pockets, which are optional, are trimmed with edge stitching.
