Simplicity 2987; ca. 1939; MISSES' DRESS. Designed with dignity are these youthful gowns.  Style 1 has a V neckline with a large, rippling collar.  The fitted bodice and full skirt join the hip yoke.  Sleeves are short, finished with a band.  Fabric bows trim the front.  Style II has a square neckline and very full sleeves, shirred on elastic.  Large ribbon bows perch on each shoulder.  Rick-rack trims the skirt.
