Simplicity 3005; ©1949; One-Piece Dress: Soft pleats at the waistline release easy fullness in the bodice. The bodice neck and pointed collar are cut in one, and flaps trim the bodice front. A back buttoned closing, continuing into the 4 gored skirt is featured. Steep inverted pleats in back add fullness to the skirt which is trimmed with flaps in front. A self or purchased belt encircles the waistline. Style 1 has dart fitted 3/4 sleeves finished with pointed cuffs. The elbow length sleeves in Style 2 have large pointed cuffs end top stitching is used as trimming.
