1950s vintage dress pattern from Penelope Rose (3)

Simplicity 3039;  ©1949; Junior Misses' Two-Piece Dress in Two Lengths: Twelve loops and buttons fasten the front of the dart-fitted top styled with weskit points. A shaped neckline and extended shoulders are featured. The skirt, cut in four sections, has soft gathers over the hips and joins to a waistband.  Style 1, street length, has bishop sleeves and a purchased cummerbund is worn when top is tucked in.  Style 2, evening length, has contrasting bishop sleeves and the top has weskit points in front. Style 3 is the same as Style 2 but the bishop sleeves are omitted.
