Simplicity 3117 49 a

Simplicity 3117 1949 Girls dress. The dart fitted bodice, styled with a button back closing, has a scalloped yoke in front which extends slightly past the shoulder line. A scalloped band is top stitched to the lower edge of the dirndl skirt. Style 1 has a contrasting Peter Pan collar and three buttons trim the bodice yoke. Three quarter sleeves gathered at the lower edge are fastened to a sleeve band. A self or purchased belt encircles the waist. In Style 2 the short sleeves have elastic pulled through a casing, forming a ruffle at the lower edge. Lace edging is used as trimming and a purchased sash is used.
