Simplicity 3166; ©1950; One-Piece Dress, Bolero and Detachable Overskirt: The dart fitted sleeveless bodice has a scooped-out neckline in front and back. The slim skirt, cut in four panels, has a kick pleat at the lower edge in back. A self or purchased belt encircles the waistline. Pointed revers are cut in one with the brief bolero which is styled with extended shoulders and rounded edges in front. Style 1 has flap-trimmed patch pockets on the skirt. In style 2 a purchased sash may be worn. In style 3 a five-gored overskirt is worn over the dress.
