Simplicity 3172; ©1950; Teen Age Blouse, Skirt and Cummerbund: The dart-fitted blouse, styled with extended shoulders, has a V-neckline, banded with a narrow shawl collar, which extends into the front-buttoned closing. Darts at either hip release fullness in the skirt, which is styled with a deep inverted pleat in front. Style 1 blouse is finished with weskit-like points at the lower edge and is worn over the skirt. Patch pockets, which button to the blouse front, are featured. Oversize patch pockets trim the skirt. In Style 2 the blouse is worn inside the skirt. A shirred cummerbund, fastened at one side with hooks and eyes, is worn at the waistline.
