Simplicity 3179; ©1950; The dart fitted bodice, styled with short sleeves, is scalloped at the upper edge and top stitched to a yoke. Gathers at the waistline release fullness in the skirt, which joins the bodice at the natural waistline. The shaped upper skirt is scalloped at the lower edge and top stitched to the lower skirt. Style 1 bodice has a high round neckline and wide scalloped cuffs edge the sleeves. Piping trims the waistline seam and picot edging trims the scallops. Style 2 bodice has a contrasting yoke with a low round neckline. Braid trims the seam line of the scallops on the bodice and skirt, and tie ends, coming from the belt form a bow in back.
