Simplicity 4089; ca. early 1940s; Misses' and Women's Accessory Set. The pillbox hats in Style I and II are youthfully smart. Style II adds a piquant bow of self-fabric at the back. Style III, beret, the most flattering type of casual hat, buttons at the back for easy adjustment. Style IV bag fastens with a slide fastener. Style V bag, stitched to match the beret, snaps into place with a smart, envelope flap. Both bags are designed with pockets in the lining.
