Simplicity 4649

Simplicity 4649; ca. 1941* ; Women's Dress.  The waist has a shoulder yoke which is joined to the gathered edges in the front and back.  The neck is finished with a notched collar.  The skirt, pleated in the front, has three gores in the back.  Style I is buttoned down the front.  Patch pockets trim the skirt.  The fly opening and patch pocket on the waist of Style II are trimmed with saddle stitching.  A purchased belt may be used.  Choose short or long sleeves.

Note: *Original entry put this at ca. 1944 (based on receipt stored with pattern), but known number ranges suggest an earlier release date.
