Simplicity 5277; ©1972; Child's Dress and Smock: The top-stitched smock V. 1 and 2 with skirt softly gathered to lined bodice above normal waistline has low round neckline, front button closing and patch pockets. The dress has back zipper closing, collar and set-in sleeves gathered with elastic casings forming self-ruffles. V. 1 has long sleeves. V. 2 & 3 have short sleeves.

Suggested fabrics: wool flannel, homespun, canvas, denim, broadcloth, gingham, poplin, pique, cotton sateen, challis, surah, crepe. Smock also in corduroy, velveteen, quilted fabrics, lightweight wool and double knits. Additional notions required: thread, seam binding or stretch lace. Dress View 1, 2 and 3 – 12” neckline zipper, ½” wide single fold bias tape. Smock View 1 and 2 – three ½” buttons. The pattern has 12 pieces and 1 instruction sheet.
