Simplicity 6686, Copyright 1974, Child's Dress and Pinafore in Two Lengths: Ankle length dress V.1 or short dress V.2 with skirt gathered to bodice above normal waistline has contrasting Peter-Pan collar, back zipper, lined short set-in sleeves gathered to armholes and optional picot edging trim. Long pinafore V.1 or short pinafore V.2 with skirt gathered to bodice above normal waistline has low round neckline, back button closing, self fabric bodice ruffles and tie ends. V. 1 with picot edging trim features lower band with flower trim of dress fabric.

Suggested fabrics: gingham, lawn, dotted swiss, leno, batiste, cotton broadcloth, canvas, pique, chintz, cotton sateen, challis. Pinafore V. 1 and 2 also in voile, organdie, printed eyelet. V. 2 dress also in velvet, velveteen, pinwale corduroy.
Additional notions required: thread, seam binding or stretch lace. Dress v. 1 and 2: 12” zipper. Pinafore V. 1: size ½” buttons. Pinafore V. 2: three ½” buttons.
The pattern has 16 pieces and 1 instruction sheet.
