Simplicity 6696; ©1974; Boys' Skeleton, Devil and Astronaut Costumes: The one piece costume V. 1, 2 or 3 with high round neckline encased in purchased bias tape forming back ties has center back opening and long set-in sleeves. Skeleton costume V. 1 has contrasting mask and bone appliques made of felt fabric only. Astronaut costume V. 2 with decorative front and side front zippers has grosgrain ribbon trim and purchased appliques. Devil costume V. 3 with elastic casings at leg and sleeve edges has top-stitched pitchfork made of ribbon and self fabric tail. Unlined cape V. 3 with neck edge encased in purchased bias tape is fastened with button and thread loop. Hood V. 3 encased in purchased bias tape forming front ties has shaped stuffed self fabric ears.
