V. 1 has elbow-length, bell-shaped sleeves and double circular ruffle at neck edge. Ruffles and sleeves are encased in braid. V. 2 with embroidered braid or ribbon trim has short sleeves with gathered ruffles. Lace insertion trimmed V. 3 has elbow-length sleeves gathered to sleeve bands.
