Simplicity Designers' 8002; ©1949; Misses' One-Piece Dress.  A yoke and collar, cut in one section, set off the dart-fitted bodice which features a front-button closing.  The back of the otherwise straight skirt flares slightly at the lower edge and is enhanced at the front by slanting pockets.  Version A has long sleeves and a self or purchased belt, while top-stitching trims the collar and front edge.  Version B has short cap sleeves and gathers at the waist.  A self belt, pockets and top-stitching trim complete the style.

Fabric Suggestions:  Version A - Light-weight woolens and worsteds in monotone or with small pattern, heavy rayon crepes, rayon or silk shantungs.  Version B - Rayon or Irish linen, plain or printed rayon crepes, rayon or silk shantungs.
