Simplicity Designer's 8169; ca. 1949; JUNIOR MISS AND MISSES’ ONE-PIECE STREET AND AFTERNOON DRESS. The slim silhouette of this dress is broken by two tie-belt ends seamed in the front seam and drawn back to tie in a soft knot. Slot pockets accent the vertical seams of the bodice front and skirt. The bodice back has a fine button closing and the skirt interest is achieved by the use of gathers and soft pleats in a pepel effect. The pointed collar ties in a knot at the back of the neck and the set-in sleeves are long and slim. Version B: Collar front is eliminated and only the back tie at neck is shown. Sleeves are short.
