Simplicity 8716; ©1970; Child’s and Girls’ Jumper or Tunic, Dress and Pants: The dress with back zipper, bias roll collar, and ¾ length set-in sleeves gathered with elastic casing is worn with a bow slipped thru opening in neck seam. The lined, double-breasted jumper or tunic has front button closing and very low round neckline, the pants with side zipper have back elastic waistline casing.

Suggested fabrics: cottons and blends; denim. Linen. Synthetics and blends; pique, poplin, cotton sateen, homespun, hopsacking, canvas, duck. Lightweight wools and blends; wool flannel, wool gabardine, double knits. The dress also in printed voile. The trousers also in border fabric. Additional notions required: thread, seam binding, 12” neck zipper, ¼” wide elastic, four 7/8” buttons, 6” zipper, ½” wide elastic. The pattern has 11 pieces and 1 instruction sheet.
