Simplicity 8742; ©1970; Misses' Dress or Tunic, Pants and Mini-Skirt...Designer Fashion: The dress or tunic with back zipper have back shoulder extensions sewn to front under button trimmed, simulated buttonhole. Dress V. 1 with construction lining has optional purchased belt. Tunic V. 2 is worn over contrasting, pleated, mini-skirt with yoke, side zipper and waistband. Tunic V. 3 may be worn with self fabric tie belt or purchased belt. The matching pants V. 3 have side zipper and waistband.

Suggested fabric types: Cottons and blends. Linen. Silks, synthetics and blends; pique, silk linen, homespun, hopsacking, gabardine, silk and worsted, 4 ply crepe. Lightweight wools and blends; wool crepe, wool gabardine, double knits. V. 1 also in satin. Tunic and the pants V. 3 also in polyester knits, even bias printed fabrics.
