Simplicity 9617; ©1971; Young Junior/Teens' and Misses' Dress or Tunic and Bell Bottom Pants: The dress versions one and two or tunic version three with skirt gathered to bodice above normal waistline has back zipper, low round neckline, long set-in sleeves gathered with elastic casings forming self ruffles and optional crochet-type lace edging. Version one features embroidered braid or ribbon trim. Version two has ribbon tie belt. The pants version three have back zipper and elastic waistline casing.

Suggested fabrics: Velveteen, velvet, satin, broadcloth, cotton sateen, surah, jersey, printed silk, crepe, crepe-back satin, homespun, linen, denim, lightweight wool, wool flannel, double knit, polyester knit. Additional notions required: thread, seam binding or stretch lace. Dress View 1 & 2 and Tunic View 3 – 22” neckline zipper, ½” wide single fold bias tape, 5/8 yard of ¼” wide elastic. Pants View 3: 7” skirt zipper, 7/8 yard of ¾” wide elastic. Pattern has 10 pieces and 1 instruction sheet.
