Spadea N-1355; ©1965; By Ceil Chapman. When it comes to the subject of party dresses, Ceil Chapman is a magical name. Her designs are not only glamorous but beautifully draped to bring out the best in the female figure. The simple waist of this dress is pleated and gathered in at the neckline in a most unusual way. The back waist is opened from neck to waistline, and closed at neck with thread loop and tiny button. A soft bias cummerbund--with rolled edge --circles the waist, opening on the left side. The full circular skirt a rolled hem. The waist and skirt both have a separate lining with left side zipper. This dress was originally designed for silk chiffon.
