The scarf, cut-in-one with sleeves, crosses in front to the opposite shoulder, effecting a high cowl at the throat, then falls freely in back where the ends are looped together. In the same crisscross manner, soft folds create important drapery below the waistline, with the drape-ends caught and stitched into the skirt's side darts.
