Mail order pattern from The Sunday People. Age unknown. The publishers address is Pattern Dept, IPC Newspapers Lts, 79 Camden Road, London, NW1 9NT.
This is a two part pattern for blouse and pinafore dress. The blouse has long sleeves gathered into a cuff and long collar with round shaped ends. The pinafore dress comprise of two pattern pieces plus a patch pocket. It has a scooped neckline and a-line skirt.
The pattern contains a total of 12 pieces and these are of the very old style where no marks or instructions where printed onto the pattern (and therefore no seam allowance). Marks are indicated instead by punched holes and the pattern numbers too are a series of punched holes. The inside of the roll-up envelope shows different layout variations and the outside has the instructions for making up the pieces, this is text only, no diagrams.
