Superior 6609; ca. 1940s; Stouts' Princess Dress. A princess dress with exciting touches of charm. Styled to slim and trim down the heavier figure to be simple to make. Sew a row of buttons down the center below the shoulder yokes and a gracefully curved neckline, edged with ruffling. Side hipline panels and scalloped wing sleeves all in one, are an easy-to-sew feature. Three-quarter length set-in sleeves are also provided, for variety. Trim panels do much to slenderize, while the flared skirt falls gracefully and becomingly from the hips.
