Vogue 1488; 1970s; Misses' Bridal Dress, Slip and Veil. Floor length dress with chapel length train, or ankle length dress, has shaped standing collar, high fitted lined bodice with contour shaped waistline (above waist in front, dips to waist in back) and back button and loop closing. Full, full-length sleeves are gathered into cuffs with button and loop closing. With or without back skirt gathered into shaped waistline. With or without skirt lining with blue ribbon hemline trim. Appliqued lace trim. Evening or ankle length slip, with high fitted bodice and contour waistline, has bias shoulder straps, slightly flared skirt and back zipper closing. (With or without bias blue ribbon hemline trim and two layers of tulle gathered to back of skirt.) Guide included in pattern to cut veil to desired length (veil shown is three and a half yards long). Purchased flower headpiece.
