Vogue French Boutique 1687; ca. 1977; Christian Aujard - Misses' Shirt & Skirt. Very loose-fitting, above-hip length, pullover blouson shirt, with front and back gathered into one-piece yoke, has shaped collar and band cut-in-one, extended shoulders, front-buttoned band closing, pleated patch pockets with shaped buttoned flaps and shirttail hemline. Side front and side back tucks, stitched below partially elasticized waistline, are released at waistline. Seven-eighths length sleeves are worn rolled up to elbow length and held with buttoned tab. View A has yoke cut on crosswise grain; view B has yoke cut on lengthwise grain. Flat-fell seaming. Slightly flared skirt, three inches (7.5cm) below mid-knee, mid-calf or ankle length, with side front and side back gathered into back-buttoned contour waistband, has buttonhole pockets and center front and back inverted pleats. Topstitching and edgestitching.
