Vogue's Basic Design 1937; ca. 1979; Misses' Skirt and Shawl. Views A and B: Skirt, six inches below mid-knee or evening length with front and back gathered into waistband, has side front hemline vent (vent opens below hipline), pockets in side seams and back zipper closing. Views C and D: Mid-calf or evening length skirt with front and back gathered into waistband, has side front slanted pockets and back zipper closing. View E: Skirt, six inches below mid-knee with front pleated and back gathered into waistband, has center front box pleat, pockets in side seams and back zipper closing. Single layer square shawl has self or purchased fringe. (Size of shawl is determined by fabric width). Purchased tops.
