Vogue's Basic Design 2208; ca. 1979; Misses' Dress. Very loose-fitting dress, five inches below mid-knee, seven inches below mid-knee or above-ankle length, has blouson bodice with three-quarter pleated straight skirt (right skirt front slightly gathered into waistline). Has rounded or rectangular contrast or self collar on band, shoulder pads, bodice pleated into front and back bias yokes and gathered into waistline, front-buttoned band and pockets in side seams (concealed by pleat). Skirt has center back inverted box pleat. Full length sleeves with contrast or self buttoned cuffs or short sleeves with turn-back cuffs. Edgestitching.
