Vogue American Designer 2246; ca. 1979; Jerry Silverman - Misses' Dress. Dress has fitted front-lapped bodice and A-line skirt, 4" below mid-knee or evening length. Dress has back zipper closing and bodice side front and side back seams (no side seams). Overbodice front is tucked, overbodice back is gathered. Skirt front is tucked and pleated and skirt back is gathered into contrast midriff. Has pockets in side seams, deep side front hemline slit, narrow hem and contrast tie belt. Capelet sleeves with very narrow hem are cut-in-one with overbodice front and extend to back.Topstitching and edgestitching. Two constructions given for midriff and belt: for synthetic leather or suede or for regular fabrics.
