Vogue's Basic Design 2319; ca. 1980 (per store stamp on front); Misses' Dress. Loose-fitting dress with slightly blouson bodice and slim and straight or flared skirt, four inches below mid-knee or evening length, has notched collar, slightly extended shoulders, shoulder pads and bodice pleated into lined one-piece yoke with forward shoulder seams. Bodice front is gathered and bodice back is pleated and gathered into waistline seam; skirt has front opening concealed under center front inverted box pleat and side front slanted pockets. View A, B and C have skirt front pleated into waistline seam. Short sleeves with shaped turn-back cuffs or full length sleeves with buttoned cuffs are gathered at cap. Topstitch trim and edgestitching.
