Vogue 2961

Vogue American Designer 2961; 1980s; Bill Blass - Loose-fitting, blouson dress, lower mid-calf length, has dropped shoulders, self or contrast collar, front buttoned bodice, self-lined yoke with forward shoulder seams, elasticized waistline, slightly flared skirt, side pockets and short sleeves rolled-up (wrong side of fabric will show) or full length sleeves with contrast buttoned cuffs. Edgestitching. Shaped belt has topstitching and edgestitching. Construction method given for synthetic suedes and leathers.

Amount of 115cm wide fabric required: DRESS A – 3.60m (plus 0.50m contrast), DRESS B – 3.40m, BELT – 0.60m (plus interfacing for A & B)

Suggested fabrics: Soft or Crisp fabrics; Silk Broadcloth – Crepe de Chine – Challis – Broadcloth for Dress. Synthetic Suedes and Leathers for Belt.

Additional notions required: ½” buttons, seven for A, three for B. 1 1/8yds of 3/8” wide elastic.

The pattern has 12 pieces and 1 instruction sheet (plus the same again in French).
