Circa 1945 — Shoulder Pads. Your shoulder pads for coats, jackets, dresses, blouses, and sweaters, suitable for regulation set-in sleeves, extended shoulders, raglan sleeves, kimono cut sleeves and sweaters. A bodice lining pattern is included on which to mount sweater pads. These pads are made in one size only as the size of the figure does not determine the size of the pad to be used. Each figure is an individual problem and needs the correct pad to give a smart effect. For instance, sloping shoulders require more padding than square shoulders. The illustrations offer suggestions for the use of these pads. We suggest that you make up a pair of pads from each of the four patterns included in the pattern and place them on your shoulders to determine which is most becoming to you.
