Vogue 8511; ca. late 1930s; Dress features fullness in blouse and in one version of skirt. Blouse fullness concentrated in gathers at shoulders and dart tucks or gathers above shaped mid section. The mid section joining the blouse and skirt is shaped at front and belt width across back. Collarless neckline, high across front, fastens at centre back with loops and buttons or slide fastener. Darted-top sleeves may be long or short. The skirt has two style fronts: unpressed pleats releasing into fullness or plain version seamed at centre front.
