Vogue 8629

Vogue 8629; ca. 1940; One-Piece Dress. Shirtwaist dress featuring the tucked blouse front and easy flaring eight-gored skirt. Choice of tailored collar or narrow band collar tied in bow at front. Buttoned or stud-fastened front blouse closing. The shallow back yoke extends forward at shoulders and gathered fullness is concentrated below yoke at sides in front and in centre at the back. Long bishop sleeves or short darted-top sleeves. The blouse and skirt join under the novelty belt. Large patch pockets are optional.
