Vogue 8659; ca. 1939; ONE-PIECE DRESS “EASY-TO-MAKE”. The version with Peter Pan Collar is very easy to make. The other version features applied bands, pouch-like patch pocket, and a narrow binding finish at neck which extends to tie in bow. Binding also finishes the pocket. The blouse has gathered fullness at neck and joins the flaring four-piece skirt under a novelty belt. Short darted-top sleeves are finished with an inverted pleat at the bottom.
