Vogue 8698; ca. 1940; One-Piece Dress and Bolero "Easy-To-Make". Short-sleeved dress with soft gathers below the shaped front shoulder yokes and a flaring four-gored skirt joined to the blouse under a matching belt. Slide fastener closing at centre-back of the collarless neck. contrasting or matching binding finish at neck and on sleeves. Bias-cut patch hip pockets are optional. The short bolero has large shaped revers, cut-away fronts, and long or short darted-top sleeves. Detachable revers is optional.
