Vogue 8729; ca. 1940; One-Piece Play-Suit and Skirt. One-piece short-sleeved play-suit with surplice bodice joined by inset belt to the shorts, which are pleated at front and centre-back. A separate flared skirt has a broad wrapped front, left side buttoned closing and is finished on a fabric belt. The blouse has an inverted pleat at centre-back, gathered front fullness below the forward shoulder seam and is bloused across back waist above the inset belt. Left side closing in play-suit and single left side breast pocket. Contrasting binding finish is optional.
