Vogue 8794; ca. 1940; One-Piece Dress. This shirtwaist dress features a box-pleated skirt, in regulation or above-knee length, offers a choice of a fly-front or regulation buttoned closing with a convertible collar or high collarless neck-line. The bloused top is gathered at front and back below the shallow shoulder yoke and is joined to the skirt by an inset belt. Darted-top long bishop or short sleeves. Stitching or braid trim is optional. Carriers for a narrow novelty belt are also optional.
