Vogue Special Design S-4240; ca. 1940; One-Piece Dress. One-piece dress with bloused fullness at the side-fronts and back waist, features the draped skirt front. The buttoned-front blouse has a shallow V neck-line and soft gathers concentrated below slashes at shoulders. The straight skirt has a concealed slide fastener closing at centre-front under the draped section, and joins the blouse at regulation waist-line. The draped skirt front is joined in the right side seam and wraps to the left side-front where fullness is held in by shirrings. Choice of two sleeves. A long fitted sleeve or short shirred sleeve.
